From a rectangular plastic sheet 4m by 3m how many square peices of 20cm side can be cut out?

Assuming that the cut does not remove any material, you have a sheet that has twenty 20cm divisions on one side and fifteen 20cm divisions on the other

Fifteen times twenty is....300From a rectangular plastic sheet 4m by 3m how many square peices of 20cm side can be cut out?
= 300 pieces can be cut out ..

You have the area of the plastic sheet = 12 m^2

And area of one piece = 0.04 m^2

So :

12 / 0.04 = 300 piecesFrom a rectangular plastic sheet 4m by 3m how many square peices of 20cm side can be cut out?
area of total sheet=l*b=4*3=12m2

area of one sq.=0.2*0.2cm2=0.04m^2

no. of sq.=12/0.04

300squares
Area of plastic sheet in cm:

= 4(100) * 3(*100)

= 400 * 300

= 120,000

Area of square pieces:

= 20^2

= 400

Solution:

= 120,000 / 400

= 300

Answer: 300 pieces
since they have different units, we need to convert the dimensions of the rectangular plastic sheet to cm.

area of rectangular plastic sheet = (400cm)(300cm) = 120000 sq. cm

area of square pieces = (20cm)(20cm) = 400 sq. cm

120000/400 = 300 square pieces..

hope it helps you a lot..
